Rice balls – Onigiri

Japanese people love rice.
Many Japanese people eat rice in 3 meals every day!

A popular way to eat rice for lunch is to have rice balls called “onigiri”.
They are either triangle or circle in shape.
There is usually a piece of fish, pickled plum, or seasoned meat in the center of rice balls.
They are usually wrapped around with a sheet of dried seaweed.

You might not find rice balls in restaurants,
but you will see a variety of rice balls in convenience stores.
They are very popular choice for kids and adults too.
Japanese people have rice balls on their trips!
They are delicious and easy to eat!
